Do you want instant control over the content of your Web site without the hassle of coding HTML, PHP, or formatting a page?  I will set up a Content Management System (CMS) and customize the look to best portray your company or organization.

If you can type into a simple word processor it will be easy for you to add or edit articles on your site.  You can update your Web site from anywhere in the world you can connect to the Internet.  If, for example, you need to change your contact details or opening hours, you can do this yourself in minutes -- no cost, no hassle.

Here's How It Works

In our first meeting I walk you through getting your domain name and Web hosting account.  Typically these cost under $ 100 per year (some under $ 60 per year including both the hosting and the domain name, depending upon your needs).

You also choose a 'template' which sets the look and feel of your Web site.   There are hundreds of pre-made templates to choose from, and they save you money because they give us something to start with instead of having to build it from scratch.  But if you have a specific idea or need we can build it from the ground up.

Finally I talk about what you want on your site -- what you want to accomplish, and what diffent pages and strategies will help you achieve your goals.

After the initial meeting I set up the Content Management System (CMS) on your Web host, personalize it with your logo and art, make any visual changes you have asked for, add the features (such as calendars or polls) that you have requested, and set up the basic pages and structure of the site.

Our final meeting is a training session that typically takes only one hour.  If you can use a simple word processor you can easily update the content on your Web site using this system, including adding or changing text and pictures.

I charge $ 65 per hour.  The total for your site depends on specifically what features you want, and how much customization you need.  The more prepared you are the better I can keep your costs down.

I am available to help afterward, or to make changes or additions.  Some of our clients call on me frequently for maintenance or changes, while others are happy to make their changes themselves.  Whatever fits your work style and checkbook makes sense with this CMS.
